CREMATION AND RESPECT FOR THE ENVIRONNEMENT – WHITE BOOK PRESENTED TO EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT IN BRUSSELS.

On May 29-30 2008 the European Crematoria Network (E.C.N.), a group of specialists composed of some managers of European crematoria and manufacturers of cremators and flue gas cleanings systems, officially handed over the \"White Book\" on Cremation and Respect for the Environment to Mrs. Veronique De Keyser Member of the European Parliament. The session took place in the prestigious headquarter of the European Parliament in Brussels. The purpose of E.C.N. since 2004 has been the definition of the environmental standards that are technically and financially acceptable, and that each state could take into account to determine its own legislation. The \"White Book\" on Cremation and Respect for the Environment deal with many important items related to Cremation analyzing the current regulations in Several European Countries and also Statutory Legislation, Ethical, technical and financial aspects developing, as final result, a common proposal relevant to emissions from cremation plants.
